Think of this journey as a sacred creative space, holding possibility, compassion, and love, as you spend time getting in touch with your innately creative spirit.
This workshop is a practice that uses paint to intentionally connect us with the creative spirit within us all.
In Painting as a Spiritual Practice, the sacred is uniquely expressed through color, metaphor, and imagination. As we create sacred art in a safe space, we also receive opportunities to notice our fears, our blocks, and our vision in real-time. The process of making becomes our meditation. And through this practice, we are called to surrender, open, and see ourselves through new eyes, again and again.
Entering the creative flow is an essential part of this practice.
It is the moving into communion with the creative process and the energy seeking to be expressed through our work. It relies less on the mechanics or technique of making art, and more on our ability to tune in to the heart and what it wants to authentically express through the paint, and developing the courage to say YES!
Of course, it would be ideal if we could remain in creative flow at all times. But realistically, we tend to express from this place of inner connection with greater or lesser ability in each moment.
Our intention in this course is to become aware of the difference between living and creating from the head and living and creating from the heart. And further, building a greater capacity to tune in at will, and respond to the wisdom of the heart… the home of our creative flow.
